The product advertising glossary

What is Talking-head video?

A talking-head video centers on a person speaking to the camera. The speaker may be filmed, animated, or generated.

A practical example

A founder explaining how a clasp works can appear beside a close-up of the clasp. The face carries the explanation while the close-up supplies evidence.

How to use it

Check speech clarity and trustworthiness as well as visual realism. A presenter should not replace the product shot when the viewer needs to see a physical detail.

Put it in a creative brief

Write down the event, asset, or workflow you mean by Talking-head video before sharing a brief or report. For campaign measurements, keep the source and reporting window with the number. For creative work, attach an example so the team can assess the same thing.
