The product advertising glossary

What is Lip sync?

Lip sync is the alignment between visible mouth movement and audible speech.

By Drizzle team

A practical example

Watch the moment a speaker says a word beginning with “b” or “p.” The lips should close around the corresponding sound rather than moving several frames later.

How to use it

Review at normal speed with headphones, then inspect questionable moments slowly. Accurate mouth timing does not establish that the face or voice was used with permission.

Put it in a creative brief

Write down the event, asset, or workflow you mean by Lip sync before sharing a brief or report. For campaign measurements, keep the source and reporting window with the number. For creative work, attach an example so the team can assess the same thing.
