The product advertising glossary
What is CTR?
Click-through rate is clicks divided by impressions, multiplied by 100. Specify whether the clicks are all clicks, link clicks, or outbound clicks.

A practical example
An ad with 80 outbound clicks from 8,000 impressions has a 1% outbound CTR.
How to use it
Compare the same click type across campaigns. A high all-click CTR can include interactions that never send anyone to the product page.
Put it in a creative brief
Write down the event, asset, or workflow you mean by CTR before sharing a brief or report. For campaign measurements, keep the source and reporting window with the number. For creative work, attach an example so the team can assess the same thing.
