The product advertising glossary

What is CPC?

Cost per click is spend divided by the counted clicks. The click definition should match the decision you are making.

By Drizzle team

A practical example

A $90 campaign that delivers 150 link clicks has a $0.60 link CPC.

How to use it

Use landing-page and purchase data to assess traffic quality. Cheap clicks are not useful if the page is slow, the audience is mismatched, or the offer changes after the click.

Put it in a creative brief

Write down the event, asset, or workflow you mean by CPC before sharing a brief or report. For campaign measurements, keep the source and reporting window with the number. For creative work, attach an example so the team can assess the same thing.
