The product advertising glossary

What is CPA?

Cost per acquisition is spend divided by attributed acquisitions. State the event, such as a completed purchase or a qualified lead.

By Drizzle team

A practical example

A campaign spending $240 and recording eight purchases has a $30 purchase CPA.

How to use it

Do not mix leads and purchases in one CPA comparison. Also record the attribution window and whether refunds, repeat orders, or duplicate events affect the count.

Put it in a creative brief

Write down the event, asset, or workflow you mean by CPA before sharing a brief or report. For campaign measurements, keep the source and reporting window with the number. For creative work, attach an example so the team can assess the same thing.
