What to review when Meta adjusts your creative

Automated creative features can change the asset a viewer sees. Preserve the approved source and inspect the transformations enabled in the actual account.

Name the automation being used

Advantage+ covers several advertising features, so record the specific creative settings rather than writing only “Advantage+ on.” Meta’s Reels advertising information describes creative automation at the ad level. Availability and controls can vary by campaign and account.

Distinguish creative changes from audience, placement, and campaign automation when planning a test.

Inspect changes that affect the product promise

Review crops, text placement, visual additions, music, and any generated variation that is actually enabled. Confirm that the feature remains visible and that no adjustment changes the apparent package, included item, offer, or claim.

Keep the original export and a record of previews. If a material fact becomes unclear, revise the input or the setting before launch.

Keep measurement tied to the delivered creative

A result from an automatically adjusted asset is not necessarily a test of the untouched file. Record settings and use available asset reporting to understand the exposure. Avoid attributing every change to the original hook.
