Use an authorized post for a TikTok Spark Ad

A Spark Ad uses a post through TikTok’s authorization workflow. That permission is separate from the underlying rights and the content’s advertising suitability.
Confirm the post and authorization
TikTok’s Spark Ads guide describes using organic posts, including another creator’s post with authorization. Verify the account identity, exact post, permission period, and campaign destination.
Keep the written content-use agreement alongside the platform authorization. A code or account connection should not be treated as unlimited permission for every future use.
Review the AI and commercial elements
Identify any generated face, voice, scene, or substantial edit. Use the required disclosure process and confirm that the script does not invent a customer experience. Check the product link and claim against the actual listing.
If a real creator is depicted, make sure the synthetic changes are covered by the permission obtained. Do not assume permission to promote a post includes permission to generate new statements.
Inspect the final ad configuration
Preview the authorized post in its advertising context, confirm timing and destination, and keep a record of the settings. Review the authorization before extending the campaign.
Read the Shop content guide and Spark code definition. This general guide was reviewed September 15, 2026; use TikTok’s current workflow when setting up the campaign.
