The opening establishes the subject, the middle develops one clear idea, and the ending gives the viewer a useful takeaway or next step. How to write the brief
- Explain the single thing the viewer should understand. Include the facts or source notes needed to explain it accurately.
- Name the audience and what they already know. A first-time customer needs different context from an experienced user.
- Choose the format, tone, and target duration. Include the intended ending in the brief, whether that is a practical takeaway or a product-page visit.

Example: a 30-second product introduction
This is an illustrative brief, not a customer campaign: “Introduce a canvas tote to people carrying work essentials. Verified details: an inside pocket and two handles. Show the whole bag, the pocket, and a simple lift from a desk. Use a calm, practical voice. End by inviting viewers to check dimensions and colors. Do not invent capacity, durability tests, or customer experiences.”
A possible opening is: “Take a closer look at the details you use every day.” The first shot shows the whole bag. The next scene focuses on the inside pocket while the narration identifies it. The ending returns to the full product with the dimensions-and-colors invitation. The exact timings need a real read-through and suitable source footage.
Example: a short educational explainer
For a broader topic, try: “Explain why a camera placed close to a face changes its apparent proportions. Audience: beginners recording at home. Use plain language, a side-by-side demonstration, and one practical camera-placement takeaway. Avoid claiming that any lens makes a face objectively better.”
Supply trusted notes for technical subjects. Ask for a clear demonstration in each scene rather than a paragraph of narration over unrelated visuals. The draft should make sense when read without music, and its main point should remain understandable with the sound off.
Choose a length you can support
The tool supports planning scripts up to 180 seconds. That is the total intended edit, not a promise that Drizzle can generate a single clip of that length. A longer script usually needs several shots, separate generation attempts, narration, and assembly in an editor.
