Write a handoff checklist for a product video

By Drizzle team

1 min read

A reviewer needs the source, the claim, and the intended placement to judge an asset.

Package the context

Include exact SKU, source photos, approved facts, script, crop, offer, destination, and any permission records.

Mark review decisions

Record what passed and which frames need correction. A timestamped note is more useful than “looks wrong.”

Close the handoff

Keep the accepted export distinct from draft takes. Check that a later editor does not restore a rejected shot or outdated price.

A worked example

A reviewer receiving a shoe ad should have the exact SKU, source views, intended crop, script, claims, and destination link. They can then mark a timestamp where the outsole pattern changes and request a specific correction. Without that package, “looks fine” may refer only to the mood rather than the purchasable shoe.

Decision check

Review the exact SKU, source imagery, current offer, and destination as one chain before using the asset. A generated scene can be visually persuasive while changing construction or availability. Save the accepted file with its product version and retire it when the physical item or terms change.
