A mug video should preserve shape, handle, finish, and any handmade variation.
Capture geometry
Use front and side views, plus a close-up of the rim and handle joint. Photograph the actual glaze pattern rather than asking for a perfectly uniform surface.
Keep the scene ordinary
A small tabletop move can show the finish. Avoid depicting heat resistance, microwave safety, or capacity unless the listing documents them.
Review the result
Check that the handle remains attached in the same position and the pictured color matches the purchasable variant.
A worked example
A handmade mug can sit on a kitchen table with a slow side tilt that reveals its handle and glaze. Compare the generated pattern with the specific item photographed. If the seller ships unique variations, the listing should say the video is representative. Do not imply a spoon, gift box, or beverage appears in the order unless that is true.
