Reuse one product shot across ad placements

The same source can support several placements if each export gets a framing review.
Keep a clean master
Save the accepted clip without placement-specific text when rights and workflow permit. Preserve the original product photo and brief.
Compose each crop
Check product scale, captions, and interface overlays in vertical, square, or wider versions. A center crop may remove the proof shot.
Track versions
Name exports by placement and revision, and verify each final URL. Do not assume a good social crop works in every ad unit.
A worked example
An approved vertical tote clip shows the entire bag and a pocket close-up. For a square feed placement, recompose from the same source so the pocket remains visible; do not blindly center crop. Keep a versioned export for each placement and test the destination URL. The product can stay fixed while the layout changes.
Decision check
Review the exact SKU, source imagery, current offer, and destination as one chain before using the asset. A generated scene can be visually persuasive while changing construction or availability. Save the accepted file with its product version and retire it when the physical item or terms change.
