Decide when a real product demo is needed

Some claims depend on physical behavior that a generated clip cannot establish.
Identify the claim
Water resistance, load limits, fit, application, and safety performance need real evidence. A plausible synthetic scene is illustration, not a test.
Split the production
Use generated content for atmosphere or an approved package view, and film the operation that customers must trust.
Keep the cut honest
Do not edit the sequence so viewers mistake an illustration for observed performance. Review captions and disclosures in the final placement.
A worked example
A seller wants to show a pouch surviving a rainstorm. A generated wet scene can be atmospheric, but it cannot establish water resistance. Film the real product under a documented test if that claim is central. Use generated footage for the dry product introduction and make the transition clear to viewers.
Decision check
Review the exact SKU, source imagery, current offer, and destination as one chain before using the asset. A generated scene can be visually persuasive while changing construction or availability. Save the accepted file with its product version and retire it when the physical item or terms change.
