Creative fatigue: what Meta’s diversification guidance supports

By Drizzle team

2 min read

Creative diversification is a useful planning idea, but it does not establish a universal number of days before an ad stops working.

Separate guidance from a numerical benchmark

Meta’s creative diversification course discusses variation by concept and format. That supports developing different ways to explain a product. It does not, by itself, establish a fixed refresh schedule or guarantee a conversion lift for your account.

When someone cites “Meta research,” ask for the study, population, comparison, and measured outcome before treating the figure as a forecast.

Diagnose the decline before replacing everything

Review frequency, audience reach, placement mix, spend, offer changes, tracking, and the timing of performance changes. Falling early attention and worsening purchase efficiency can be consistent with fatigue, but other changes can produce the same pattern.

Keep a stable comparison asset where practical and record the conditions under which the decline occurred.

Diversify the idea, not only the caption

Try a feature demonstration, a size decision, or an everyday use case that answers a different purchase question. Preserve accurate product facts and the approved offer. Small caption changes may still be useful, but label them as variations within a concept.

Use the creative testing framework and hook-fatigue definition. This article interprets official guidance; it does not claim Drizzle ran a Meta performance study. Reviewed September 15, 2026.
