Caption a product video without covering the product

Captions help silent viewing only when they leave the important visual readable.
Map the detail
Mark where the product moves in each shot. Keep captions away from fastenings, labels, or hands that explain its use.
Shorten the line
Use fewer words and a legible contrast treatment. Do not shrink text to preserve a long script; move a secondary fact to the product page.
Preview the placement
Check the ad with platform controls visible. Export another composition when the caption area collides with buttons or the product.
A worked example
A bag ad that labels the inside pocket should keep the text above or beside the opening, not on top of it. Preview with platform buttons visible and try a shorter line if space is tight. Move the crop only after checking that the handles and bag bottom remain visible. A caption that blocks the proof defeats the shot.
Decision check
Keep the original product photo, approved facts, and intended placement beside the draft. Review the opening, the moment of movement or contact, and the final frame against the same SKU. If a visual claim cannot be verified, reduce the action or use the real photograph for that detail.
