Archive ad creative after a product update

A new package, material, or variant can make an old asset inaccurate even when the ad once passed review.
Compare versions
List what changed in the physical item and product page. Check old videos for the affected label, color, quantity, or included part.
Choose the action
Retire, re-edit, or regenerate the asset. Do not cover a visual mismatch with a caption when the item itself appears different.
Keep a record
Note the date and product version each final export represents so it is not accidentally reused for a later launch.
A worked example
A tote supplier changes the strap attachment while keeping the same catalog name. Review older videos for the old stitching before relaunching them. Retire any scene that now depicts a different item, note the cutoff date, and create a new source set. A once-approved video does not remain accurate after the physical product changes.
Decision check
Review the exact SKU, source imagery, current offer, and destination as one chain before using the asset. A generated scene can be visually persuasive while changing construction or availability. Save the accepted file with its product version and retire it when the physical item or terms change.
