What to test with Kling 3.0
Starting inputs: Scene direction and reference elements, with native audio and multi-shot options documented by Kling.
A product scene that needs stronger control over subjects or a planned sequence of shots.
Try one shot first, then a two-shot sequence using the same product. Check the transition for changes in size, clothing, packaging, and voice.
Multi-shot capability does not guarantee continuity. Complex scenes still need frame-by-frame product review.
What to test with Kling 2.6
Starting inputs: The image, prompt, and audio options exposed by the selected Kling 2.6 mode.
Testing an established Kling workflow against a newer version using the same approved product image.
Keep the opening image, prompt, duration, and crop constant across versions. Log defects before deciding whether a version change is worth its additional cost.
Version names do not establish identical features across hosts. Check the exact mode rather than assuming every Kling endpoint supports the same controls.
Make the comparison fair
Use the same approved product facts, target crop, duration, and quality threshold. When the models accept different inputs, record the extra preparation each needs: supplying a finished audio track is real production work. Run more than one attempt, retain failures, and compare the accepted clips without showing the reviewer their source.
Score product fidelity, speech timing, scene control, and editing effort independently. A model that wins a portrait test may still be the wrong choice for a close-up product manipulation.
Choose from the cost of accepted work
Add generation charges, audio preparation, editing time, and rejected takes. Divide by the number of clips that actually pass review. Confirm access, lifecycle status, and terms in Kling 3.0 documentation and Kling 2.6 documentation before committing to a batch.
