Match a Google Search ad to its product landing page

The ad should describe the item and offer a shopper sees after clicking.

Check the query intent

A shopper looking for a product video maker expects a tool workflow, while someone searching for video dimensions expects guidance or a calculator. Send each to the relevant page.

Check the promise

Keep product name, price, feature, and offer consistent. Google Ads recommends useful original landing content and close alignment between ad and page.

Test the path

Open the final URL on a phone. Confirm the primary action works and the requested task is visible without hunting through an unrelated resource index. See Google Ads guidance.

A worked example

A query for “product photo to video” should open a page that explains what photo to upload and how to review the result. Sending it to a general blog archive makes the visitor search again. Write the ad around the actual workflow and check the final URL on a phone, including the first visible action and the pricing path.

Decision check

Keep the numerator, denominator, date range, currency, and attribution definition with every reported result. A metric describes one part of the shopper path; compare it with visits, purchases, and order contribution before changing the creative or budget. State what the observation cannot establish.
