What Google Ads keyword competition means

The competition label in Keyword Planner describes advertiser activity. It does not measure how hard organic ranking will be.
Read the metrics
Average monthly searches estimate demand in the selected geography; bid ranges describe historical ad auctions. Both depend on settings and can change.
Filter irrelevant ideas
A seed about product video may return camera shopping terms. Volume alone does not make them a fit for a creative workspace.

Choose queries Drizzle can answer with a real workflow, tool, or example. See the official Keyword Planner guide.
A worked example
Keyword Planner might show medium advertiser competition for “AI product video generator” and a bid range in dollars. That does not say whether Drizzle can rank organically, nor whether the query converts for its workflow. Filter the keyword by search intent and product fit first. Use the ad figures to plan a campaign test, not as a direct SEO difficulty score.
Decision check
Keep the numerator, denominator, date range, currency, and attribution definition with every reported result. A metric describes one part of the shopper path; compare it with visits, purchases, and order contribution before changing the creative or budget. State what the observation cannot establish.
