Script a 30-second product ad
By Drizzle team
2 min read
A longer ad earns its time by answering another purchase question, not by repeating the hook.
Outline the questions
Introduce the item, show its main feature, add one real context shot, and direct viewers to the listing. Keep each spoken fact tied to a view.
Leave room to see
Pause after a reveal so the product can be inspected. A script that fills every second with speech makes details harder to notice.
Cut unsupported lines
Remove imagined customer quotes, ratings, or guarantees. Read the final script against the product information and time it with the actual footage.
A worked example
A longer pouch ad can introduce the item, show the divider layout, demonstrate one realistic packing example, and end with its dimensions. Give the interior shot several quiet seconds. Avoid filling the extra time with repeated “perfect for travel” lines. Time the voice after the visual sequence exists, then remove words that obscure the item.
Decision check
Keep the original product photo, approved facts, and intended placement beside the draft. Review the opening, the moment of movement or contact, and the final frame against the same SKU. If a visual claim cannot be verified, reduce the action or use the real photograph for that detail.
