Measure product video beyond early views

A high view count can be useful for delivery diagnosis, but it does not show whether the asset helped sell the item.

Follow the path

Read impressions and early views with link visits, product-page behavior, carts, purchases, and contribution. Use one defined reporting window.

Name the bottleneck

If viewers watch but rarely click, the next step may be unclear. If visitors click and leave, inspect page relevance and offer.

Make one revision

Change the opening, demonstration, or destination based on the first weak step. Avoid making all three changes at once.

A worked example

A product clip earns many three-second views but few qualified visits. Inspect whether the opening is entertaining without identifying the item or whether the next step is unclear. A second clip may have fewer views but more profitable orders. Keep spend, placements, and attribution beside each report so the outcome is not reduced to a single attention metric.

Decision check

Keep the numerator, denominator, date range, currency, and attribution definition with every reported result. A metric describes one part of the shopper path; compare it with visits, purchases, and order contribution before changing the creative or budget. State what the observation cannot establish.
