A free tier can help you understand a workflow, but production suitability depends on export rights, limits, repeatability, and the work needed after generation.
Use a free tier to answer a small question
Test whether the workflow accepts your source assets, understands a simple brief, and lets you revise an error. Keep the first trial small enough to review carefully. Do not assume a sample export has the same resolution, branding, or rights as a paid export.
Confirm the current allowance with the provider. Trial offers and free-tier rules change, and a promotional page may describe a different billing period.
Read the limits that affect production
Check duration, resolution, watermarks, queueing, commercial use, seats, and whether important controls require another tier. Distinguish editing access from generation usage; a subscription may cover one without unlimited access to the other.
A paid workflow is still expensive if most takes fail review. Include accepted-asset rate and editing time in the comparison.
Separate free planning from paid generation
