When to use AI creative and when to hire a creator

Choose based on the evidence and performance the ad needs. Generated product scenes and real creator demonstrations have different strengths and obligations.

Hire for real experience and physical proof

A creator can handle the actual item, show a difficult mechanism, explain a genuine experience, and perform with intentional timing. Those qualities matter when the demonstration itself is evidence. Agree on the scope, revisions, usage rights, disclosure, and any posting requirement before production.

Paying for content does not automatically buy distribution to a creator’s audience or unlimited rights to synthesize their likeness.

Use generation for controllable visual ideas

A product-photo workflow can explore a setting, character, styling direction, or simple movement without arranging a shoot for every concept. Start with an accurate still and reject any motion that changes the product.

A generated person can introduce a feature. It cannot supply a real purchase history, long-term experience, or authentic customer recommendation. Write the role accordingly.

Consider a mixed production plan

Use real footage for the physical proof and generated supporting scenes for context, provided the combination remains truthful. Compare total accepted-asset cost, including samples, rights, editing, failed generations, and revision time.

Run one brief through the workflows you are considering before moving an entire campaign. The format comparison and production cost calculator provide a concrete starting point.
